Co-op Live is Manchester’s brand-new, state-of-the-art arena, officially opened in May 2024 on the Etihad Campus. With a flexible capacity of up to 23,500 fans, it is the largest indoor arena in the UK, purpose-built for live music and entertainment with world-class acoustics, a unique low-ceiling bowl design, and fans positioned closer to the stage than in traditional venues. Developed by Oak View Group in partnership with City Football Group and with investment from Harry Styles, Co-op Live is also the UK’s first fully electric arena, designed with sustainability at its core through solar power, rainwater harvesting, heat-source engineering, and zero waste-to-landfill goals. Inside, visitors can enjoy 32 bars, restaurants, and lounges, 28 premium suites, and 12 exclusive club spaces, alongside industry-leading accessibility features including step-free access, hearing loops, sensory rooms, and facilities for assistance dogs. Beyond entertainment, Co-op Live is set to deliver over £1.3 billion in economic impact, support 16,500 jobs, and donate more than £1 million annually to good causes, cementing its place as a cultural and economic powerhouse for Manchester.
